the Artist

Pablo Picasso said it best - "The purpose of art is to wash the dust of daily life off our souls." Imagine how bland and boring life would be without art. Without music or dance. All forms of art inspire and enrich our lives. It connects us as a society and heightens our awareness of times past and present.

I explore relationships between color, light, texture, nature and industrial grunge. I combine these elements using original photography, digital enhancement, and mixed media techniques. I look to make the ordinary extraordinary, to go a step further and to inspire the world to see things differently. I create art to remind people to turn down the noise of life and see the magic and beauty in our surroundings.

I have been creating art for over 25 years. My parents saw at an early age that I had an artistic talent. So they set up some private art lessons when I was in fourth grade and my journey as an artist began. I was accepted into the Gifted and Talented Art Program in middle school and continued with art classes and lessons into high school. I earned a BFA graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and realized during those years that as an artist I can express myself in multiple mediums. So I tried them all. I really liked designing on the computer and shooting photography. I worked on expanding my skill set and searched for my unique style.
